February 2010 - More QS units usable in Railway applications with EN61373 requirements
The QS series was tested regarding the compliance to the EN61373 class B requirements. The reason being that we see more and more requests for railway applications. The European standard EN61373 describes shock and vibration requirements for components used for railway applications with different classifications.
Usable at the:
1. vehicle body (5,9m/s2) – Class A
12. vehicle body (7,9m/s2) – Class B
13. bogie
14. wheel set
Again the good news is that the QS3, QS5, QS10 and QS20 passed all tests successfully and are therewith usable for those kinds of applications at the vehicle body even under the harder conditions of class B requirements.
